Chabad Haiti Relief Effort - Update Monday 4:30pm
PLEASE SCROLL TO BOTTOM OF PAGE TO DONATE
Firstly, we would like to thank all those who brought in food, supplies and contributed financially over the past 24 hours. The response has been terrific.
Earlier today we brought over the first shipment of supplies to the airport to be weighed, packed and loaded onto Jerry Lowenstein's plane. The Lowensteins together with Rabbi Shuey Biston will G‑d willing, fly tomorrow morning and everything on board will be taken directly to the orphanage where over 100 children are waiting anxiously for these basic necessities.
You can continue bringing all supplies to Chabad of Parkland at 7170 Loxahatchee Rd. Parkland FL 33067 for the next flight, which will G‑d willing, take place again early next week. Items that are most needed are non-perishable foods, water, diapers, formula and medical supplies. (Please do not bring clothes yet).
You may also donate online 100% of the proceeds will go towards the purchasing more urgent medical supplies and food, as well as the cost of the transport. PLEASE SCROLL DOWN TO CONTRIBUTE.
Below are some pictures of the packing this afternoon. Assisting us was dedicated Chabad of Parkland custodian from Haiti, Amoure Senne, whose family is thank G‑d safe, but could certainly use our help as well.

Jerry Lowenstein with Rabbi Shuey and the Plane
Florida Jews active in Haitian relief efforts
The horrid desolation that has torn Haiti and more than hundreds of thousands of lives apart is screaming for us to do something to help. Basic necessities such as food, water, temporary shelter, and emotional support are in dire need for the Haiti citizens.
Jerry and Susan Lowenstein, long time members of Chabad of Parkland (Regional Headquarters for Chabad of North Broward & South Palm Beach) have been active in assisting Haitians and in particular the Canaan Orphanage in Port Au Prince for the past 7 years.
They have actually adopted one girl from there and are working on bringing her back to the United States this week.
Jerry will be flying into Haiti on Tuesday on his private plane with food, water and medicine where his first stop will be at this orphanage at which 100 children have no water, food or electricity. From there he will take the additional supplies to where ever it is needed most.
We can certainly be assured that whatever we give to Jerry to take this Tuesday will be going ENTIRELY and DIRECTLY to those in dire need.
Please bring all supplies to Chabad of Parkland at 7170 Loxahatchee Rd. Parkland FL 33067 on SUNDAY and MONDAY. Items that are most needed are non-perishable foods, water, diapers, formula and medical supplies. (Please do not bring clothes).
You may also donate online 100% of the proceeds will go towards purchasing a full plane load of supplies, as well as the cost of the transport. He will be flying at least once a week for the foreseeable future.
This aid will not be held up it will go directly to the people!
Chabad of Parkland's Rabbi Shuey Biston will be traveling to Port au Prince with Jerry on Tuesday in a show of support and solidarity of the Jewish community
Now is the time to ACT! Here is our chance to show that we can do something tangible to help those in their time of disparate need.
